A simple list of customers is not always enough to meet your business needs. Contacts is a feature that allow you to fill in contact information for the contacts associated with a given customer. It is by no means necessary to have contacts for your customers, but it makes sense in the case where the product is sold through a partnership or the customer has contacts who wants a copy of the invoice and other special cases.

A contact has to be marked as one or more of the following:

• Invoice is sent to contact

• Delivery adress from contact is used and appended to parent customers' invoices

• The contact is an EAN contact

A contact can only be created as the child of an existing customer. Contacts can't be subscribed to your products or have a payment method associated with them.
