When you subscribe a [Customer](🔗) to a Product Plan, the subscription will be created based on the settings in the chosen product plan. The Product Plan is core to Upodi's subscription & recurring billing.

A _Product Plan Charge_ determines when a customer is charged, and how the customer is charged. It contains all pricing information subject to a charge and incur upon the billing cycle of a given subscription. The _Product Plan Charge_ also determine in which currencies to charge. In essence, the Product Plan is the template of your subscriptions, and should always represent your most present business model.

The subscription itself will not include pricing, billing cycle information, this will be referenced from the product plan and its charges, however, the subscription will hold information such as quantity, discount and time of previous and next charge, through the use of its subscription [charge object](🔗).
