Product Plans

When you subscribe a customer to a Product Plan, the subscription will be created based on the settings in the chosen product plan. The Product Plan is core to Upodi's subscription & recurring billing.

A Product Plan Charge determines when a customer is charged, and how the customer is charged. It contains all pricing information subject to a charge and incur upon the billing cycle of a given subscription. The Product Plan Charge also determines in which currency to charge. In essence, the Product Plan is the template of your subscriptions, and should always represent your most up-to-date business model.

The subscription itself will not include pricing, billing cycle information, this will be referenced from the product plan and its charges, however, the subscription will hold information such as quantity, discount and time of previous and next charge, through the use of its subscription charge object.
